Bot4Q Translator

Privacy & data handling

How Bot4Q Translator processes live-chat messages.

What we process

When translation is enabled on a channel, public chat messages sent in that channel are processed to produce a translation that is posted back into the same chat. We process the message text, the sender's public username, and the platform's public user id (Kick or Twitch).

Who processes it

Translation is performed by a third-party AI processor, Google (Gemini API). Message text is sent to that processor solely to produce the translation. We do not sell chat data or use it for advertising.

Viewer opt-out

Any viewer can type !notranslate in a participating channel to stop their messages being translated, and !translate to resume. Opted-out messages are never sent to the translation processor.

Retention

Translation and chat records are automatically deleted after 30 days. Aggregate counts (how many translations a channel used in a month) are kept for billing and service operation. When a channel or account is offboarded, its stored message content is purged.
